Lord Jesus,
I come before You with a humble heart. You see me fully—my thoughts, my actions, and the places where I have fallen short. Today, I don’t want to deny my sin or push it aside. I want to bring it into Your light.
Teach me how to truly mourn my sin, not out of shame or fear, but out of a desire to be made right with You. Break my heart for what breaks Yours. Help me to recognize where I have chosen comfort over obedience, and ease over repentance.
Jesus, I thank You that the work has already been done on the cross. Thank You that when I come to You in repentance, You do not punish me—you forgive me. You meet me with grace, mercy, and compassion.
When I am tempted to run to temporary comforts, draw me back to You. Remind me that true comfort is found only in Your presence. Help me to lay everything at Your feet and trust You with it all.
I draw near to You now, Jesus—the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Comfort me as I mourn, restore my heart, and lead me forward in freedom and peace.
In Your precious name,
Amen.
